These books come next in line in our most recent series of cancel culture. The next book in line for burning is a 2010 graphic novel called “The Adventures of Oak and Gluk,” due to the publisher claiming that it “perpetuates passive racism and contains harmful racial stereotypes.” Going on to say, “it is wrong an harmful to my Asian readers.”
The author Dav Pilkey has apologized stating, “I hope that you, my readers, will forgive me, and learn from my mistake that even unintentional and passive stereotypes are racism and harmful to everyone, I apologize and I pledge to do better.” In complete wokeness fashion they plan to donate all royalties from sales to group who stand up for violence against Asians.
All copies of the book have been removed from all websites and scholastic has removed and canceled all book orders and is planning to return its inventory.
