Had you have told me 10 years ago that I would be making a collage of my favorite political heroes of the week I probably would have laughed you out of existence. However, Here we are, living through the Great Awakening and I cannot help but be captivated by these men this week. There are a few others I could name but for the sake of time I will keep it to my favorite four.

First we have Senator John Kennedy who said this week “we don’t need more gun control we need more idiot control”

Along with my other favorite quote from him, “many of my Democratic colleagues… they just don’t believe in the Second Amendment. They just don’t. I mean, we have heard it in terms of police officers. I mean, basically, the Democratic position is that if a bad guy shoots a cop, it’s the gun’s problem. If a cop shoots a bad guy, it’s the cop’s fault. You know, if it weren’t for double standards here, we wouldn’t have any standards at all.

Lindsay Graham, made the ranks by saying, “All I can say is, I’m going down with 18 senators, if they deny me the ability to go where I want to go and see what I want to see, we’re going to shut the Senate down.”

Next we have Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz who caught my attention this week when he spoke on behalf of having the most active duty members in the country he stated, “Respectfully, it is on their behalf that I would Categorize this hearing as total nonsense. Today, the Chinese Communist Party is building aircraft carriers and jets that every member of this committee knows threaten to close or eliminate the capability gap. North Korea is perfecting the ability to strike the United States with nuclear weapons. Cartels are hunting the next trafficking routes yet the committee is too busy hunting down mean thoughts in the military.”

He continued by saying, “This is not about extremism. It is not about white supremacy. It as about woke supremacy,” Rep. Gaetz continued. “It is about converting the military from an apolitical institution to an institution controlled by the political left.”

“there is a difference between weeding out bad apples who should be removed from the ranks and using the charge of extremism to stigmatize different opinions. increasingly, ‘extremism’ is a euphemism that Democrats are using when talking about conservatives, Republicans — and the group they hate most — Trump supporters.”

At one point during his captivating speech he questioned if having a Pepe the Frog meme on your phone makes you a dangerous extremist? Stating, “The FBI would rather investigate garage pulls than antifa… How long until Make America Great Again hats are considered an ‘extremist symbol’?”

Rep. Gaetz concluded by saying, “this is nothing more than cancel culture coming for our military and it is disgusting. It is about power and we ought to tread carefully because our fellow Americans do not take kindly to this type of tyranny.”

Last but certainly not least we have the Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz or more recently looking like he’s about to make a big debut in one of those big block buster comic book super hero films. Today him and 17 other senators visited the U.S. Mexico border and Ted Cruz and tweeted out what he believed to be smugglers taunting them. In his twitter video he said “that’s Mexico and you can see there are three smugglers right there standing on the Mexican side looking at us. They have been shining their flashlights at us, they are yelling at us.”

Although it is hard to see exactly what is happening because the video is very dark and you can barely hear anything. However, I believe there is an extremely valid point in what another senator, Susan Collins tweeted today. She wrote that “Mexican cartels control who crosses the border. A young mother from Guatemala, sitting on an aluminum blanket with her 1-year-old, told me she paid smugglers $6,000.” How could you not pass up this opportunity?!
