On Thursday Nike announced they have settled the lawsuit held against the company MSCHF, who collaborated with Lil Nas X on the recent release of “Satan Shoes.” Each containing one drop of human blood, along with a pentagon and Luke 10:28 printed on them. The settlement resolved a trademark infringement which Nike filed due to the modifications made to their Nike air max 97 sneaks.
As a part of the settlement MSCHF has proudly agreed to buy back all 666 pairs of shoes. I say it is with pride because David Bernstein, a representative of MSCHF said in a statement earlier; “the artistic messages MSCHF hoped the Satan Shoes would convey were dramatically amplified by Nike’s lawsuit.” Adding
“MSCHF intended to comment on the absurdity of the collaboration culture practiced by some brands, and about the perniciousness of intolerance, Having achieved its artistic purpose, MSCHF is pleased to have resolved the lawsuit.”
Not really sure that’s what the general public believe when it comes to blood filled devil shoes… but hey whatever helps ya sleep at night MSCHF.
