Prime Minister Boris Johnson will introduce a domestic coronavirus passports trial run this month. Testing will take place in a few high profile football games and other big events in the next weeks. Those who attend will be required to test for covid before entering said event as well as leaving the event. Yes you heard me correctly…
They claim it is in order to “track the potential spread of the virus.”
They will also incorporate a pilot for the National Health Service COVID Status Certification app. This app will contain an individuals vaccination status, along with recent covid tests or any notable antibody levels. These trials will run from April through May. With the government stating they hope to fully open up large venues sometime in June. This is only a sign of things to come as the government plans to adopt this passport throughout the country in regular businesses like restaurants and pubs.
It also should be noted that when more venues begin to open for outside dining on April 12th all patrons will now be required to sign in, as a form on contact tracing. This is going to only put more strain on the restaurants and other businesses currently struggling to stay open and follow all the governments silly rules and mandates.
