ADVERT: There is only 1 day left until New Years Eve. An all so exciting time of the year, which is when we start getting ready for the big celebration, that will mark the start of 2018 and for most of us it`s the time of the year that...
…we tend to reflect on the year that had passed, and then we start planning the upcoming year, in this case 2018. I know people, who already have a long list of new year resolutions. It feels like as if it was the end of something old, and the beginning of something brand new. It practically makes us think that we get the chance to have a fresh start of whatever we choose to change, create, and so on.
I personally feel like I have learned from things that have happened in my life in 2017. Did I spend enough time with loved ones? Did I meet my goals? How did it all turn out at the end? Was I happy? These are the sort of questions I am asking myself this time of the year.
Some of us are happy, because they managed to climb Mount Everest, some are happy because they have achieved their dream of getting a new profession, while others are happy because their family is complete. I believe that at the end of the day what really matters is what we get out of achieving our goals. It`s the end result that matters – that feeling – which is the level of our happiness, because we all just want to be happy. It`s just that different things make different people happy.
I have realised that I was pretty happy with my life in general. I am grateful for all the negative things that happened to me, as I have grown thanks to these, and I am thankful for all the good things, as they filled my everyday life with this happiness feeling. However I also know which adjustments I will make in 2018 to become even more happy 🙂 Living more in the moment seems to be on top of my list! The rest of my list is private 😉 All I can say is NEW YEAR, NEW ME 😉
I`m so excited to enter 2018, which is only 24 hours away, that I have already started dancing around in my New Year Eve dress, as seen on the picture above. I know you will send me emails to ask me where I got the dress, so I might as well just tell you now. It`s designed by Orchid store in Oslo, Norway. I even negotiated a 20% off discount price only for CosmopolitaTV readers. You just need to use the promo code CTV20NYE. ADVERT.
Anyhow back to our main topic. I hope you also get the chance to have a good start of 2018. Most importantly I would like to thank all of you for being here and reading all of this as without you this blog would be nothing! Well, it would still be a website, but what really gives life to it is its readers, which is YOU!
Happy New Year 2018 everyone <3
